I believe in science and self ownership. Cannabis has been proven to be a powerful weapon against the opioid abuse epidemic, which is currently plaguing our county, state and nation.

With 29 states and the District of Columbia legalizing medical cannabis since 1996, individual states are fast becoming incubators of important public health data as it relates to opioids and cannabis. We are watching this data closely. Work published in the Journal of the American Medical Association shows that opioid mortality drops by nearly 25 percent when a U.S. state legalizes medical cannabis; and that percentage goes up the longer the state has the law on the books. This compelling data should not be ignored.
