A Unique Opportunity

#voteLibertarian

Liberty-minded voters who are registered unaffiliated have a unique opportunity. They’ll have three choices of Presidential Preference Primaries.

We urge them to vote in the primary of the party they align with politically. We are the only alternative party that allows them in: the Libertarian Party.

Otherwise, they can go back to the two establishment parties and pick from either the “least bad” or the “most” libertarian candidate in the bunch. That is a losing strategy.

Unaffiliated voters and registered members of the Libertarian Party should heed our call to vote for liberty by voting in the Libertarian Primary.

We don’t believe the establishment parties have earned your support. Their hyper-partisan shenanigans in the past year alone have eroded public trust on a huge scale.

We want 40,000 registered Libertarians in North Carolina to take the time and effort to vote in our presidential primary. Your tax dollars are paying for this election. Continue reading

Can THC Help Prevent Transplant Rejection?

In 2015, a group of researchers from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of South Carolina published a study to test the effects of THC on skin grafts. According to this study, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), one of the main compounds of the cannabis plant, can help delay rejection in incompatible organ transplant patients by activating cannabinoid CB1 receptors in immune cells.

“More and more research is identifying potential beneficial effects of substances contained in marijuana, but a major challenge has been identifying the molecular pathways involved,” said John Wherry, deputy editor of the magazine Journal of Leukocyte Biology, in a statement.

Schooling Was for the Industrial Era, Unschooling Is for the Future

Our current compulsory schooling model was created at the dawn of the Industrial Age. As factories replaced farm work and production moved swiftly outside of homes and into the larger marketplace, 19th-century American schooling mirrored the factories that most students would ultimately join.

The bells and buzzers signaling when students could come and go, the tedium of the work, the straight lines and emphasis on conformity and compliance, the rows of young people sitting passively at desks while obeying their teachers, the teachers obeying the principal, and so on—all of this was designed for factory-style efficiency and order.

The trouble is that we have left the Industrial Era for the Imagination Age, but our mass education system remains fully entrenched in factory-style schooling. By many accounts, mass schooling has become even more restrictive than it was a century ago, consuming more of childhood and adolescence than at any time in our history.

Israeli Study Says CBD May Mean Less Chemo, Better Results For Cancer Patients

In cancer treatment, can you have less chemo, and better results? New research exploring cannabinoid therapy in conjunction with chemotherapy suggests so.

New research exploring cannabinoid therapy in conjunction with chemotherapy suggests cannabis could mean less chemo, better results for cancer patients. This new research is yet another possible avenue for cannabis therapy in a holistic approach to cancer treatment.

It may be early days yet, but the scope of research into cannabis for cancer is quite convincing. First, studies have evidenced the preliminary anticancer properties of cannabinoids. Second, the plant is already an established conjunctive therapy with chemotherapy. And now, cannabis has the potential to increase the value of conventional chemotherapy treatment? It’s hard to imagine a future where cannabis isn’t an essential aspect of cancer treatment.

Libertarian Presidential Primary

hornbergerfbcoverThere will be a Libertarian Party Presidential Preference Primary (say that 3 times fast) on March 3rd, 2020.

The primary is non-binding because the LP selects their Presidential candidate at their national convention, which is in Austin, Texas (May 21 – 25, 2020). However, the primary gives the LP the opportunity to gain media and name recognition earlier during the election cycle.

It also provides an excellent opportunity to reach out to Unaffiliated voters, who are eligible and invited to cast their vote in our primary. The higher the turnout, the stronger the message it sends to the two establishment parties.

A message that we refuse to support the lesser of two evils. We want political power returned to the rightful owners, We The People.

For example, presidential candidate, Jacob Hornberger has been campaigning heavily not only in NC but here in Cabarrus County, which earned him a mention in the local paper.

Jacob and I intend to campaign together here in Cabarrus, before the March primary. Hopefully, we will have the opportunity to campaign together after he wins the Libertarian Party nomination.

Due to Jacob’s 30 plus years of service to the cause of Liberty and the courage and compassion he exemplifies in his relentless fight against the racist War on Drugs, I humbly endorse Jacob Hornberger for the LP presidential nomination.
