EDC Executive Director Resigning

carneyedc

While I give Mr. Carney the best of wishes, I have some advice concerning his eventual replacement.

To facilitate the potential for explosive economic growth and radical relief for the sick, suffering, and dying here in Cabarrus, the EDC should endorse and promote the following initiatives…

Encourage the Sheriff to immediately end the unconstitutional and destructive war on cannabis and declare Cabarrus County a sanctuary county for the peaceful cultivation and consumption of cannabis.

Reach out to the NC Research Campus in Kannapolis and encourage them to introduce cannabis (marijuana and hemp) into their range of natural and organic research. This would attract the best minds in cannabis science to our community, with an influx of capital investment never seen into our local economy.

Everyday cannabis prohibition continues, our state and county lose the benefits of opportunity; the opportunity to facilitate massive economic growth while alleviating the suffering of sick citizens right here at home.

We have the natural right and duty to grow our own medicines and defend the rights of our neighbors to do the same.

Ending prohibition makes economic sense.

Ending prohibition makes moral and ethical sense.

Why do our political and community leaders lack the common sense to do what is right, just, and moral?

On a Postive Life and Liberty Note

cannagatewayrx

On a sarcastic note, investors making money deems the flow of cannabis essential.

On a positive life and liberty affirming note, cannabis as a medicine, sacrament or ritual is essential to a healthy and holistic community.

Which note is most worthy to reprise?

Which chord would you strike?

Our nation is at a threatening but opportunistic crossroads.

In the coming days, weeks and months, we will have the required and most necessary opportunities to rethink and possibly reset our individual values, habits, and virtues, which in aggregate, form the collective reality we all share and suffer in and under.

Maybe we should cut ourselves some slack?

Maybe we should cut each other some slack?

To truly forgive others, we should first forgive ourselves.

We are capable of showering the appropriate grace while we still do a better job of holding ourselves and others accountable.

Cannabis Is Essential Medicine Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

Perhaps a blessing amidst our current curse, some politicians are realizing many rules and regulations are roadblocks to innovation and improvements to human health and liberty.

It is incumbent upon us all to remind them of these facts once this current crisis has come to pass…

Cannabis is medicine. This is no longer up for debate, and it hasn’t been for years, as the world’s leading medical journals and scientific organizations are in universal agreement of this fact.

And so access to cannabis must be guaranteed in the upcoming weeks and months as the unknowns of this pandemic continue to reveal themselves.

Because marijuana remains federally illegal, the U.S. cannabis industry relies on a patchwork of state laws that differ wildly from California to Colorado to Connecticut—and we’re already seeing a variety of regulatory responses in the face of the novel coronavirus outbreak.
